What it Means to Receive: A Meditation from the Akashic Records

Last weekend I ran into my neighbor Joe, a retired pastor, as we were both walking to the farmer's market. We talked of the beautiful October morning and he told me of his latest blog post about the seasons of the soul, where he described Soul Autumn as "a Sung Mass of Thanksgiving."

This October, I am feeling splendorous after completing a generous summer of client work and teaching the Akashic Records.

To give thanks for all of the blessings I have received from the Records, my clients, and my soul, I wanted to share with you these words on Receiving, channeled directly from the Records.

The True Meaning of Receiving

To receive means to be open to the possibility that you do not already know or possess something. It is to be open to the Divine entering your energetic field and changing your circumstances.

Grace

Grace is a thing that can only be received, not acquired.

It is simple to receive grace; you put yourself directly in front of the Divine while meditating.

You do not need to access the Akashic Field, in order to receive grace, all you have to do is open yourself to energetic possibility and vibration of grace.

Grace is multi-form.

Grace is the Divine coming to you as the cosmic principal of infinite possibility.

To receive grace, requires no actions, except to put yourself in a state of engaged, alert receptivity.

This is not a passive state of collapsed, hopeless, passive energy. It is the energy of an egg waiting to be fertilized, the lake receiving the energy of the rain and wind, a candle waiting to be lit, the forest awaiting the spark of lightning to create the fire of renewal.

Meditation to Receive Grace

You can try this meditation exercise now:

  1. Close your eyes. Breathe and relax.

  2. Listen to the sound and feel the rise and fall of your breath in your body. Be still in your heart. You are in the eternal now, breathing, resting, relaxing. As you inhale, your heart blooms like a flower opening to the sunlight. As you exhale, this flower closes.

  3. Now envision this flower open in the sunlight as you breathe. Imagine that a bee is come to pollinate the flower of your heart. Allow the bee to enter into the center of your heart. As the bee enters, it transfers an energetic gift to you. Let your imagination receive this gift now— an image, a color, a fragrance, a knowing, or an answer to a prayer or wish.

  4. Breathe and relax, receiving as much as you can until you feel the energy dissipate.
